Forecast Summary:
Although the National Hurricane Center forecasts a 70% chance of tropical storm development for a system tracking near the southeast U.S. Coast, substantial wind and flood damage, from either heavy rain or storm surge, are unlikely in the U.S. within the next five days. We have bumped the likelihood of substantial flooding from heavy rain up to 1% due to deep moisture both near SE Atlantic Coast and South Louisiana. See graphics below.
